IOWA Testing – April 28-May 2

Dear MCS Families,

During the week of April 28–May 2, Middletown Christian Schools will administer the IOWA Assessments to all students in grades K–12. These standardized tests help both parents and our school evaluate academic progress and identify areas for continued growth.

For high school students, the state of Ohio permits the use of IOWA scores to fulfill certain graduation requirements in place of Ohio’s end-of-course exams. This includes students in the 8th grade Algebra I course. All students in grades K–12 will complete the full IOWA test battery appropriate to their grade level.School hours will remain unchanged during testing.

  • Elementary students (grades K–5) will test according to their individual classroom teacher’s schedule.
  • Middle and high school students will follow a special testing schedule but are still expected to report to homeroom at the regular start time each morning.

We kindly ask that you avoid scheduling any appointments during this week that would result in students missing class or testing time.

To help students perform their best, please ensure they:

  • Arrive on time each day
  • Get plenty of rest the night before
  • Eat a nutritious breakfast each morning

If you have any questions about IOWA testing, please contact Mr. Brown at dustin.brown@mcseagles.netor by phone at extension 1188. Thank you for your continued support.

Thanks for your time,

Mr. Brown
