ParentPulse Survey Results – Winter 2026

Dear Middletown Christian Schools Families,

Thank you for participating in our recent ParentPulse survey. Your feedback is vital as we work together to provide a Christ-centered education that helps your children flourish. We have carefully reviewed your responses, and we want to share the key takeaways and our next steps.

What You Value Most

  • A Strong Christian Environment: We are encouraged to hear how much you value our Christ-centered curriculum. Knowing that your children feel safe, loved, and spiritually supported is our greatest reward.
  • Our Caring Staff: Your kind words about our teachers’ dedication mean the world to us. We are proud of our educators who go above and beyond to provide personal attention and support to every student.

Areas for Growth and Further Investigation

  • Communication & Transparency: We heard your concerns regarding how decisions and policy changes are shared. We are committed to improving our transparency and finding better ways to keep you informed and involved in the process.
  • Counseling and Mental Health Support: Our survey indicated significant concern about providing consistent mental health support for our students. This could help address emotional and social challenges that students face, contributing to a healthier school environment.

Follow up questions related to these two topics will appear in the end-of-the-year survey, which will begin next week and run for 30 days. These questions will allow parents to share additional feedback on these two topics. These questions, along with the addition of optional comments that will now be available for all rating questions on our surveys, can offer up greater clarity, and allow for greater input from parents on both these and all survey topics. This will allow us to gain greater insight into defining the next steps we should take with these concerns.

You can find the results from the recent survey in the document below. Please note a few things from the survey:

  • The benchmark score for each question in the survey is the average score amongst 381 schools in the ParentPulse network nationwide.
  • The Net Promoter Score measures the response to the first question of the survey: “How likely are you to recommend us to a friend?” The possible score range is -100 to 100. Our score was 48. With a Net Promoter Score, 30-50 is viewed as Good, 50-70 is Excellent, and 70+ is considered World Class.
  • The 26% response rate is well above the 20% response rate that is typically required to trust the results of such a survey. The average amongst ParentPulse network schools is 30%. The 26% response rate is equivalent to a 40-45% MCS household rate, meaning that we likely heard from at least one household member from 40-45% of MCS families.

Thank you for your partnership and for being a part of the MCS family. We look forward to growing together.

In Christ,

The Middletown Christian Schools Advancement Department
