Welcome to the 2026-2027 School Year
Dear MCS Family,
As Middletown Christian Schools begins its 54th year of providing students with a quality, Christ-centered education, we count it a privilege to have you partnering with MCS. This email is being sent to answer questions you may have regarding the beginning of the school year.
SCHOOL CALENDAR/SUPPLY LIST
Please note that most school supplies for your student(s) in grades K-8 are provided by the school through your PSA (per-student assessment fee). Supply lists for all grades and a school calendar are attached. Please note that an MCS planner will be provided for grades 3-5 and is included in your PSA. If a student loses his/her provided planner, they must purchase an additional planner from the school store for $10.00.
TEACHER MEET & GREET
Meet & Greet will be on Tuesday, August 11th, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Individual teacher assignments for grades K-5 will be posted at Meet & Greet.
ORIENTATION FOR NEW FAMILIES
A special orientation will be held on Tuesday, August 11th. We kindly ask new students and families (grades K-12) to arrive at 4:45 PM for orientation, as the presentation will begin promptly at 5:00 PM. Please note that new kindergarten families will have an additional orientation with kindergarten teachers during Meet & Greet.
SCHOOL STORE INFORMATION
Our school store will be open on the following dates:
- Wednesday, July 29 from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM
- Thursday, July 30 from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM
- Wednesday, August 5 from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM
- Thursday, August 6 from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM
The school store will also be open on Tuesday, August 11th, during our Teacher Meet & Greet.
IMPORTANT SCHOOL SCHEDULE INFORMATION
School begins on Thursday, August 13th, for all students. Grades K-5 will begin at 8:00 AM and will be dismissed at 2:40 PM. Grades 6-12 will begin at 7:55 AM and will be dismissed at 2:45 PM. We will be using a staggered dismissal for the first two days of school. More information about first week dismissal times will be provided in a separate email.
AFTER-SCHOOL CARLINE INSTRUCTIONS
We will utilize an electronic service called KIDaccount for our after-school car line. You will receive an email soon with more information regarding dismissal.
HOW DO I KNOW WHAT BUS TO RIDE?
Busing is provided by most public-school districts. Be sure to contact the transportation department in your district to get the necessary information.
Students in the Middletown City School District must fill out a bus transportation request form. Forms are available at the MCS office or can be emailed by contacting info@mcseagles.net. For the 2026-2027 school year, all students riding Middletown buses must download and use Middletown City’s transportation app to find bus routes. This information will only be available on the app. More information will be coming from Middletown City Schools once your child is entered into Middletown City’s system. Students will also be required to have a bus ID (provided by Middletown City) to board their buses.
WILL A HOT LUNCH BE SERVED THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL?
Yes, a hot lunch will be offered for purchase on Thursday through WG Grinders. Lunch for grades K-3 is $5.00 and includes milk. Lunch for grades 4-12 is $5.50 and includes milk and a larger portion of fruit and vegetables. Lunch payments need to be made by the first day of school. Please read the attached information sheet for lunch account setup for all MCS families. If you need your student’s ID number, it can be found under the Family tab on your FACTS account.
