Volunteers are a vital part of Middletown Christian Schools! We love our volunteers and offer many volunteer opportunities throughout the school year here at MCS!
We desire to promote and encourage individuals, parents and families to volunteer their time and talents to the Grace Baptist Church Campus Ministries, including, but not limited to, Middletown Christian Schools and the Middletown Christian Early Learning Center. We know that volunteers provide GBC and MCS the needed resources that allow the ministry to operate all the necessary programs and events, while efficiently and effectively controlling costs and expenses. We also know that our volunteer opportunities encourage important interaction between parents, teachers and administrative staff, while enhancing our programs at MCS.
Middletown Christian Schools and Grace Baptist Church is committed to maintaining a safe environment in which children and youth are protected from sexual abuse, physical abuse and/or neglect. Our goals are to protect children and youth, to educate workers and caregivers concerning abuse issues and to protect staff and volunteers, as well as the ministries of GBC, from potential allegations of abuse and neglect.
Below you will find the Grace Baptist Church Campus Ministries Volunteer Policy for Middletown Christian Schools, which includes the MCS Volunteer Screening Form. All volunteers who have not previously completed a background check with us must review the policy, complete the MCS Volunteer Screening Form and return it to the office at least five business days before the scheduled event. After our office processes the screening form, the potential volunteer applicant will receive an email stating that “Grace Baptist Church Franklin” is requesting additional information. You must click the provided link in the email and fill in the information for your background check to be processed. It can take a few business days at times for it to clear.
Please note: The background check is not complete until you have turned in the volunteer paperwork packet, filled out the required information on the email link and we have a clear background check returned to MCS. No one without a clear and approved background check will be allowed to volunteer at MCS.
