Our Spring Art Show will be on May 7 at 6:30 PM in the GBC Gym! You don’t want to miss it!

During the week of April 22-26 MCS will be giving the IOWA Assessments to all students in grades K-12. This test enables both parents and MCS to track achievement in learning. In the high school classes, the state of Ohio has allowed us to use the IOWA testing scores to enable our students to complete the necessary state graduation requirements in place of the Ohio end-of-course exams. Students in grades K-12 will take the entire IOWA battery of tests for their grade level. This includes the 8th grade Algebra 1 class. School hours will remain the same for all grade levels. The elementary classes (grades K-5) will be taking the tests on the individual classroom teacher’s schedule. The middle and high school grades will be on a special class schedule during this week. However, all students need to report to homeroom at the regular school time beginning each day. Please do not schedule student appointments that would cause them to miss class time that week. It is important that all students be on time each day, well-rested, and have had a good breakfast each morning so that they will be well-prepared and able to do their best. If you have any questions about the IOWA testing week, please email (dustin.brown@mcseagles.net) or call Mr. Brown at extension 1188.

There will be no school for Faculty, Staff and Students from Friday, March 29 through Monday, April 8 for Spring Break and Easter Break! School will resume on Tuesday, April 9.

We would like our MCS K-12 students to invite their Pastor(s) to MCS for a Pastor Appreciation Day on Thursday, April 11, 2024. There will be a Coffee and Donut Fellowship hour (just for pastors) followed by a chapel service where students will get to sit with their Pastor! Please share the following link to the webpage for this event with your Pastor(s) for more details and so they can RSVP: https://mcseagles.net/mcs-pastor-appreciation-day-2024-invitation/.  You can also find a personal invitation below that you can print and give to your Pastor(s) or feel free to make one of your own.

Important information that you need to know about the MCS K-12 Parent-Teacher Conferences happening March 7 and 8:

  • MCS will have early dismissal beginning at 11:55 am for elementary students.
  • MS/HS students being dismissed at 12 noon, on Thursday, March 7
  • There will also be NO SCHOOL for K-12 students on Friday, March 8 for a Teacher Record Day.
  • Middletown and Franklin buses will pick up K-12 students from MCS on Thursday, March 7 at 12 noon. All other buses WILL NOT be providing MCS students transportation home on Thursday, March 7. Parents will need to find other transportation arrangements.

We are doing a memorial Lego drive to commemorate our friend Porter Tuesday February 20-his birthday on March 7. There is a collection box in the main lobby. Students may bring their donations to their homeroom or drop them directly in the collection box. These will be given by the family in Porter’s name to Cincinnati Children’s Child Life Program.

As a helpful reminder and as a way to remember Porter’s life we have Lego stretchy bands for all students. The band is to remind them to pray for the Sowards family as they continue to grieve and to participate in the Lego drive.

On Porter’s birthday March 7, we will also encourage students to wear their Team Porter t-shirts and those that do may wear jeans, sweats or athletic pants.

There will be no school next Monday, February 19 because of Presidents Day.

All MCS students Grades K-12 are encouraged to invite their Mom (or their grandmother, aunt, older sister, other family member, or trusted adult) to Donuts with Mom on Wednesday, March 6th, from 7:15 – 7:45 am in the MCS Gymnasium. We will have a special time of breakfast and fellowship for our MCS students and that important person in their life. We hope to see you there!
