MCs Kingdom Workers 5K – Saturday, November 14

Dear MCS Families,

We are excited to share a special opportunity for our MCS community to come together and make a difference right here in our own backyard!

On Saturday, November 14th, Middletown Christian Schools will host our Kingdom Workers 5K, a fundraiser with a purpose that goes far beyond running a race.

This event is especially meaningful to our school family. Through the proceeds raised, we have the opportunity to come alongside an MCS family that has walked through tremendous tragedy. Even through the challenges and heartache this family has faced, this father continues to faithfully do Kingdom work and serve others right here in our community. Now, we have an opportunity to come alongside him and his family and show our love and support!

We have already been incredibly encouraged by the number of local churches that have stepped up to become official sponsors of this event. It is exciting to see churches throughout our community coming together for a common purpose, and we are so thankful for their generosity and support!

SPECIAL EVENT FOR OUR YOUNGER RUNNERS!

We are also excited to offer a 1-Mile Fun Run for children ages 10 and under! This is a great opportunity for our younger MCS students to get involved and be part of this special day. A race shirt is included for our Fun Run participants! We would love to see a great turnout from our elementary families!

All money raised will go toward supporting this Kingdom Worker and his family.

Our theme for this event comes from 1 Corinthians 3:9:

“For we are labourers together with God.”

That verse is such a great reminder that we have the privilege of working together to accomplish something greater than ourselves. As a Christian school, we talk often about serving others and making a difference for Christ. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students and families to put that into action!

How Can You Get Involved?

We would love to see our MCS families participate! Whether you are an experienced runner, enjoy walking, have younger children participating in the Fun Run, or simply want to come out and support this family, there is a place for you at this event. You can also help by sharing this opportunity with your church, friends, and family.

We also understand that not everyone will be able to participate in the race. If you would still like to support this family, there is an option to make a donation directly through the same link. Every gift, regardless of the amount, is an opportunity to be a blessing to this family!

Please be sure to register by November 7th to guarantee your race shirt.

Our prayer is that this event will be more than just a successful fundraiser. We hope it will be a powerful reminder of what can happen when God’s people come together to care for one another.

Thank you, MCS families, for the many ways you continue to love, serve, and support those around you. We are looking forward to a great morning together on November 14th!

Together for the Kingdom!
